REIKI
Bex is a Reiki Master with over two decades experience in the traditional Usui form of Reiki Healing.
She uses Reiki to share a space with you that allows you to relax and, where necessary, let your body & mind naturally heal.
What is Reiki ?
Reiki (pronounced “Ray-Key”) is a gentle and beautifully safe ancient form of energy healing that was founded in Japan over a century ago.
The word Reiki literally translates as Universal (Rei) Life Energy (Ki).
As a non-invasive therapy Reiki works with the natural energy system that is within all of us.
Reiki offers an energetic connection that supports you relax, rebalance and optimise your own healing system.
Reiki works well both alongside conventional and holistic treatments or on its own. However, the use of Reiki is not intended to take the place of medical professional care and advice.
What are the Benefits of Reiki?
Reiki can help you to heal, recover and/or rebalance from illness, injury or stress on the body.
It is widely accepted that through receiving Reiki you can gain a variety of benefits including the possibility of :

Supporting and Stimulating the immune system
Emotional Balance and calming your nervous system
Helping to improve mood, reduce anxiety and help you feel calm
Help in reducing the constant internal chatter of your mind
Improved Rest & Sleep
Enhanced feeling of Wellbeing
Quicker healing and balancing of the body and its various systems
What does a Reiki session look like ?
Reiki sessions are offered in our wellbeing room in Heydon.
These sessions can be done either laying down on the Reiki table or sitting in one of our very comfortable chairs, which ever you prefer.
You lie or sit fully clothed in the private space with curtains drawn and doors closed. I play soft, calming music in the background to help you relax in the session.
Bex shares Reiki using both hands on and hands off methods but should you prefer you can request only hands off. Personal space is respected at all times regardless of the method being used and the Reiki energy can flow where ever it is needed regardless of the method used.
Any information shared during a session with me is held in the highest of confidentiality.
What to expect during & after Reiki
Everyone experiences Reiki Differently.
Some people feel warm or cool sensations, some feel tingling, some see colours or images and some don’t feel or see anything in particular.
Most people experience some level of relaxation during the session which sometimes results in falling asleep. All of this is fine and none of it impacts how the Reiki healing flows.
After the session it’s recommended you take in plenty of fluids, avoiding alcohol if possible, and that you give yourself an easy time for the remainder of the day if you can, to allow the benefits to continue to take effect.
Some people feel zonked out and deeply relaxed after a session while others feel energised and raring to go. There really is no right or wrong way with Reiki, your body will take it in a way that is perfect for you in that moment.
